September 16, 2004 -- With a vision to create a world-class educational environment that allows students to fully develop their professional abilities, responsibilities and ethics, International School of Business and Media (ISB&M) New Delhi spearheaded by Dr. Pramod Kumar, President, ISB&M had organized its IVth 2 Day HR Share in Delhi at the Inter Continental.

On the evening of the program the FTK (Financial Times Knowledge) Executive Learning Program’s India launch was officially inaugurated by Shri Oscar Fernandes, Minister of Statistics, Planning and Implementation at the Intercontinental Delhi followed by a Corporate Dinner.

FT Knowledge Financial Learn (FTK) is brought to India exclusively by the ISB&M and was founded in 1922 at the New York Institute of Finance by the New York Stock Exchange. It provides the vital resources finance professionals are expected to know in order to better themselves and meet their company needs. The courses are affordable and can be easily tailored to meet the corporate management strategies which are vital to employee productivity and retention.

The traditional lighting of the ceremony took place after which Shri Oscar Fernandes spoke to the students about International boundaries and how they should target the user abroad and not look at population growing to help their business in India.

He cited that Japan being a small country, they dump their goods all across the world and they are still doing phenomenally well. He further congratulated the students on putting together a HR summit in Delhi and he would like to see them prosper and grow.

Delhi witnessed the top strata of HR professionals (around 35) from all across India from companies like Gillette, Mahindra and Mahindra, LG Electronics, ICICI, Tata Motors, JK Industries, Hero Honda, Escorts, Cadbury, Bharti Infotel, Bayer India, etc. getting together at one point.

Dr. Pramod Kumar, President, ISB&M shared, “The idea behind organizing the HR Share was to see that the students / budding managers who are specializing in the field of HR should get the best that the industry has to offer. The HR Share saw the best professionals from the HR fraternity coming and sharing the views and their personal experiences to the students which was of great value and experience to them.”

ISB&M foresees the new age economic and career trends, it believes in combining a strong component of classroom training, practical training with a company for a period of 12 months (after the two trimesters of three months) so that students may earn whilst they learn and an equally strong emphasis on communication and self-development. ISB&M has an institute at Vazirpur, Delhi and offers unique courses in Management such as Retail Management, Sales & Marketing, Financial Services and Insurance.

ISB&M aims to create a participant-driven learning environment, such that it encourages students to take great initiatives and responsibility for their learning.
